1st International Conference on 6G Networking
BIECO participates this Friday 8th july in the 2nd Workshop on Accountability, Liability, and Trust for 5G and Beyond (WALT5G+). This conference provides an interdisciplinary forum to exchange innovative research ideas, and recent results, and share experiences among researchers and practitioners regarding trust, liability, accountability, and security in communication networks.
In particular, Dr. Sara Matheu will present some of the results that are being researched within WP6 regarding the usage of the threat MUD.
12:10 PM-12:30 PM Defining the Threat Manufacturer Usage Description Model for Sharing Mitigation Actions (Remote)
Abstract: While the growing development of paradigms such as the 5G or the Internet of Things (IoT) enlarges the attack
surface due to its high inter-connectivity, an effective prompt response to discovered vulnerabilities arises as a crucial need to
guarantee the security of these systems throughout their lifecycle. Based on the threat signalling mechanism proposed by NIST and the Manufacturer Usage Description (MUD) standard, this article defines the threat MUD model, its architecture and usage to share security information about threats, compromised domains and possible mitigation actions in terms of security policies
