BIECO WP3
The monthly meeting of Wp3 took place on October 25, where the latest progress as well as the future actions of the WP were updated. The discussions were centered on both T3.3 and T3.4 tasks, which focus on detecting the vulnerabilities in the source code, as well as on forecasting their various features and their propagation in the source code. In the development of the vulnerability detection and exploitability forecasting tools, new features are being evaluated and analyzed for being used in ML algorithms. In addition, a forecasting tool for the number of vulnerabilities over a time period was introduced, and the development of a new forecasting tool for improving the vulnerability assessment process was considered. In the case of the vulnerability propagation tool, great progress has been made, with a small prototype for analyzing code in Python and investigating the possibility of developing it in other languages.
